While working on bringing back space combat and enemy AI there are a few features needed to be added that don’t necessarily seem to be related to AI at first glance. The first of them would be radiation. This is foremost a tool for keeping the players locked inside a “bubble”, flying to far off the play space and you’ll receive a very high radiation dose. That helps keeping the hide and seek of the AI to an interesting level as players can’t just fly in a specific direction for hours. Radiation is also invisible for the pilot, who will if not careful, end up in very dangerous situations unless the Co-Pilot is there to guide her.
